Emotional Balance’s “Basics of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Restrictive Practices” training equips participants with essential skills to support individuals with challenging behaviours through positive, ethical, and legally informed strategies. This foundational course covers PBS principles, alternatives to restrictive practices, and is available face-to-face in South East QLD and Northern NSW, or virtually across Australia.

Mental Health Crisis Intervention Training
Our Mental Health Crisis Intervention Training provides you with essential tools and strategies to respond to mental health crises with confidence and compassion. Through interactive virtual sessions or face-to-face sessions (in South East QLD/Northern NSW), participants will learn how to identify signs of crisis, de-escalate situations, and provide effective support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Disability & Trauma: Navigating the Intersection
Emotional Balance’s “Disability and Trauma: Navigating the Intersection” training explores how trauma and disability can overlap, offering practical strategies and insights to support individuals affected by both. Through theory, case studies, and interactive activities, participants gain a understanding of this complex relationship. Training is available face-to-face in South East QLD and Northern NSW, or virtually across Australia.
Complex Case Consultations
Emotional Balance’s Complex Case Consultations offer expert guidance and fresh perspectives for challenging cases, using a systemic, person-centred approach. In 2–3 hour collaborative sessions, we help your team develop tailored interventions, followed by a detailed report with insights and recommendations. With extensive experience across NDIS, justice, out-of-home care, and complex mental health, our team supports a wide range of clients. Consultations are available face-to-face in South East and South West QLD and Northern NSW.
